About the Group Leader
Elise Mark is a professional singer, music educator, creative facilitator, and community organizer with tons of experience working with all levels and singing abilities, and making a comfortable and fun environment in which to make music.
- You’re always welcome to join, and you don’t need to attend all rehearsals to be a part of the choir.
- We meet Wednesday evenings from 6:30-8pm at the Perch at 2321 Emerald St. Philadelphia.
- Chill Choir performs one showcase per season, in the Fall, Spring, and Summer.
- Enjoy other perks of the Creative Becoming community, including discounted private lessons, open mics, and other creative events!

How to join
1. If you're brand new to choir, complete the online sign up form to share a little about yourself.
2. Choose a payment plan to support the choir for the season.
3. Join us for rehearsal on Wednesday at 6:30pm...music, fun & community await!

FAQ
I can't make every rehearsal! Is that okay?
Missing rehearsals is fine, you'll just miss the fun that week! We even send out a recap email each week so you stay "in-the-know" when you can't make it.
I can't sing that well! Can I still join?
Totally! All levels and abilities are welcome! Even more, each rehearsal includes singing techniques and tips on improving your singing voice.
I struggle learning /can't read music. How will we learn the songs?
We learn in a variety of ways to help make sure each choir member can thrive. Both sheet music and audio recordings will be provided to all choir members. Don't worry—we got you!
What type of songs do you sing?
We like to mix it up and sing a variety of songs, including traditional choir songs, pop duets, a cappella songs (think Pitch Perfect!), songs by local composers - you name it. We also sing in unison to 5-part harmony!
Do you perform publicly?
Yes we do! We host a showcase about 3 times per year. We also occasionally perform out in our community. However, you do not have to perform in order to join us.
What are Chill Choir rehearsals like?
Great question! We begin with snacks/drinks and time to talk with each other. Once we start singing, we learn songs in harmony together, meeting everyone where they are, and also get singing tips along the way. Mostly, we have fun catching up and singing songs!
